Warm Denman Island hospitality awaits visitors at sevenexciting venues between 10 am and 5 pm both Saturday and Sunday...
Scroll down for a preview on the left of some of the renowned BC artisans specializing in the ceramic arts here on Denman Island that you'll meet on this year's tour!
Below are two new pottery venues on the tour for the first time this year...
NEW: a special exhibit of one-of-a-kind wood-fired forms will be on display at the site of the rare Anagama, or climbing-hill dragon kiln, potter Gordon Hutchens is seen monitoring in the photo at the top of the page. Many potters participate in the firing process, as the Anagama must be tended around the clock for days!
NEW: Stop in for a coffee, delicious lunch or other refreshments at Cafe Ceramica!, served on beautiful Denman pottery, hand-crafted by this year's tour participants, and also available for sale. Cafe Ceramica! is conveniently located in the Denman Island Arts Centre, in the heart of 'downtown' Denman, right at the top of the ferry hill. Pick up a map from the ferry booth in Buckley Bay, Abraxas Books or the Denman Arts Centre when you arrive, to guide your treasure hunting adventure around magical Denman Island.
